My Journey from Digital to Film Photography

Thank you for taking the time to explore my photography portfolio! My name is Gregory Hodges, and I'm an amateur photographer who blends a passion for the photographic arts with a deep love for travel and connecting with new people. This combination has led me to explore a wide range of photography genres—including portraits, landscapes, wildlife, travel, and street photography.

While I primarily shoot on film using a variety of analog cameras, The processing and scanning of film is something that I do at home. I also embrace digital photography, especially when traveling. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to photograph incredible places around the world, including Japan, Guatemala, and parts of Europe and Africa. In the early 2020s, I completed a film photography project capturing backroads BBQ spots across North Carolina and Virginia. That series was featured in a magazine: Southern Grit Magazine, "An Eye for BBQ"

In 2025, I returned back to the land of my birth. I traveled three weeks in Vietnam. It is an amazing place to photograph because of the vibrant colors and amazing culture. The people are very friendly and were willing to have their portrait made.

I hope you enjoy exploring my websit, an online portfolio that highlights my work in both digital and film photography. I'm excited to continue shooting in 2025 and look forward to sharing new images and stories with you soon.
